Have a new iPhone 4 but gave 3GS to daughter. She updated yesterday n it was syncing for 8 hours but wasn't done but she pulled it out now when u connect to iTunes it shows error. She needs to get 4.2 syste

What computer OS are you running? That happens to my 3g. I restored it on my Mac before giving it to my Bro but it got stuck while restoring. I unplugged it and used my Desktop PC to restore and it successfully restored my 3G. If you have another pc try restoring it there. Hope this helps. Thanks!
