Yes a lot of years of years ago, I think his performance harked back to those old films.

The oldest Tarzan movie I've seen is a silent movie from the 1920's starring Elmo Lincoln.

Have you watched any of the old Johnny Weissmuller Tarzan movies?

It was a great film, Loved how it showed the way he grew up in little flash backs, And of course he beat the baddies
