Limer1n and SIM unlock

Hi.. Very new to this so sorry if the answer to the question is obvious!

I've JB my iPhone 3GS with Limer1n because I was looking to SIM Unlock the phone. From what I understand this is the first stage to SIM unlocking(?)

That process completed well and I installed Cydia.

I tried my SIM card in the phone and I get 1 bar in the top left, however I can't make calls. I just get call failed when I try. I assume I haven't completed a 2nd stage?

The SIM I am trying to use is from Orange, whereas the old SIM was O2.

Do I need to change some settings on the phone to tell it to use Orange?

Hi,

I managed to do more research and discovered that I could download ultrasn0w via Cydia and install it to remove the SIM lock.

Now all sorted.
