Hi,
I have one jailbroken iPhone 4 (my phone). Today I got iPhone 4s for my wife. She agreed to give that to me -:). Now the issue is that my iPhone 4 has my id everywhere from apple store to cydia. My questions are as follows.
1. If I remove my id from my phone just by logging out and then signing my wife in. What will happen to all the apps I have downloaded on my phone with my ID? Also what will happen to my computer backups and syncs (contacts, calenders etc)?
2. I have purchased many apps from Apple store as well as from Cydia. I understand that until I get 4s jailbroken I do not cydia apps on my other phone. But do I have to pay for the apps on the other phone?

I am kind of really confused on how should I set up phones such that if possible I can have same calender and contacts on each phone as well as if I do not need to pay for the apps again.

Nothing will happen to the apps after you log off your account and log in your wife account. The apps will still be there.
As for the backup, iTunes will backup EXACTELY what you are having in the iPhone, it doesn't matter whose account is login. Also iTunes will sync to your iPhone every thing you've selected and ask iTunes to sync, to prevent your contacts to sync up with the iPhone your wife is using, simply uncheck contacts and it will not be sync to the iPhone no more.

no, you do not need to buy any app you've already purchased both in app store and in cydia. Log in the app store with the account you've used to purchase your apps, go to update> purchase/ there you will find the list of all your purchased apps, you can download them again into your new iPhone.
For cydia, login with your google or Facebook account, the one you've used to purchase apps, after login, you will see the list of your purchased apps, you can also install them on your new iPhone when JB will be made available for it.

it's very simple, both of you can use the same iTunes account (the email address you use in app store to purchase applications) use that email to set up iCloud in your iPhone and in your wife's iPhone. You find iCloud in setting> iCloud. After you finish setting up iCloud, turn on contacts, calendar etc... features then go to mail contacts calendars and set your iCloud calendar to be the default in "default calendar"
Do those steps in both phones, and voila. Now whatever you add to the calendar or to contacts will automatically be update in your wife iPhone, same if she add something in the calendar or contacts, also whatever app you download from the app store will download automatically to your wife's iPhone if settings> store> automatic download/ features are turned ON.
Use your independent iTunes account to set up your FaceTime and your iMessage, your wife should also use her independent account to do so otherwise it will be a mess when you are making iMessage or FaceTime with your wife. Good luck.

Thanks a lot for quick response. I have one more question, as mentioned in the earlier email I want to have same contact and calender, but if I use same iCloud account then find my phone will still work?

Also as I swapped the sims on the phones, now when I sync my old phone (now my wife's ph), itunes will not create an issue correct?

Find my phone is now part of iCloud, you will need to enable it in setting> iCloud> find my phone ON/

It depends, if the phones are factory unlocked then yes iTunes will not create any issue with activating the phones. If the phones are factory locked to carriers, then you might just give it a try if both of you are on the same network.
