So I recently lost my iPhone 5s along with all my pictures since I wasn´t connected to the cloud, or so I thought. Efter completing the neccesary steps after starting a new iPhone I went straight to my photos to see if any pictures were still left. To my surprise I could see the most recent picture I had taken, but the rest of the photos were just white so I assumed they were all still loading. When checking back a while later all my pictures were gone. Does anyone know if there is still a way to restore the photos?

If you use iCloud Photo Library, and they don't appear on your iPhone any more, they are gone.
That's different if you don't use this feature. A backup to iCloud will also save photos, so if you restore from that backup, you'll be able to retrieve them. A backup to iTunes will also contain these photos, except if you use PhotoStream and/or iCloud Photo Library.
