Maps won't ever find my exact location! I've done a soft reset, and I've even restored it. I have the latest software also. Is there anything I can do?

Try the following. Settings -> Location Servies -> System services -> Cell Network Search -> Toggle ON.

Then go outside and make sure you have at least a 180 degree clear view of the sky.

Launch Maps.

Unless you are out in the bonnies, and I am talking WAY OUT, you should first get a 9000 meter lock on just due to the cell towers alone. That will shrink rapidly to just under 900 meters once you get two more towers locked. Soon as that happens, iOS will be able to calculate the GPS sats overhead and begin a 100 meter lock on, then down to 30 meters. Final step is 9 meters full 3D lockon as long as soon as you have 5 sats data streams locked. If you are in the USA and you can lock on to a WAAS data stream you will get a final position that should be within 3 meters of your present location.

Also when I'm trying to use it to navigate driving, it doesn't move. All it does is jump around the whole time like its having a hard time keeping up, much less find my exact location.

In the app store you can get Mapquest 4 for free. It is designed to handle that condition.

Yeah, I would take SkullOne's advice.........At least find a different navigation map all together.

Apple was able to provide a nice easy to use GUI, but man does the Maps.app suck.lol

If the maps app worked like it does on the Android devices I would love it. I'm sure Google is holding out on Apple though. Haha.

That is probably it.lol.

I downloaded the Mapquest Maps and it's doing the same thing which I guess tells me it's my phone. Should I just take my iPhone to apple?
