Marvel announced today that it is making classic stories available as digital graphic novels in Apples iBookstore, which can be read on iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. This means that fans all over the world can now download more than 80 graphic novels, including those featuring favourite characters such as Thor, Captain America, Iron Man, Hulk, Wolverine, Spider-Man and many more. Marvel says that each week it will add more graphic novels to the Marvel iBookstore. And, even better, as a treat to get you started with your first graphic novel, Marvel is offering the first full issue of New Avengers Vol. 1: Breakout as a free download from the iBookstore. Unsurprisingly, its already topping the Free iBooks chart in the UK! And its not just all about comic book super heroes either, as literary adaptations such as Jane Austens Pride & Prejudice are also included.
