The iPhone rumor mill is about to spontaneously combust with all the many different stories swirling around as we get ever closer to its presumed release date in mid-October, but it looks as though the actual truth is starting to become more apparent as we count down the days to Apples official announcement. Yesterday a white iPhone 4s appeared in leaked internal AT&T documents, and now today, 9to5 Mac reports on a new research note from J.P. Morgan that also talks of Apple releasing two iPhones in the next few weeks. The first of these is said to be the iPhone 5, and will have a major redesign, while the second is referred to as the iPhone 4-plus, also known as the iPhone 4s, which is said to use many of the same components currently in the iPhone 4, and which, 9to5 Mac reports, is intended to take the place of the current iPhone 3GS as the entry-level iPhone. Apparently, it has been devised with lower-income markets in mind, such as the huge Chinese market.
As far as the iPhone 5 is concerned, J. P. Morgan says that it will either have an A5 processor, or might even have an A6 processor, which is certainly the first weve heard of that being used so soon in an iOS device. The note also says that the iPhone 5 will have longer battery life thanks to new battery technologies. It will be lighter, thinner, and GSM and CDMA-compatible, but it will not have LTE technology, according to J. P. Morgan, who also say that the screen will be bigger, which is one of the most longstanding rumours about the forthcoming iPhone 5.
