I don't have any solution to offer you regarding Skype and your Motorola H17. But if you like the headset with the iPhone, maybe you can help me.
Does your H17 stay connected to the iPhone once it is paired?
Mine doesn't and it's really pissing me off!
It paired easily right out of the box with the iPhone without the need to enter a password.
But when I turn the headset off by closing the boom mic, that's when the iPhone tends to lose the connection.
Normally when you open the boom mic, the headset will indicate that it is connected to the iPhone and it is ready to use.
But if I go out of range of the iPhone or leave the headset off for awhile and then turn it on, it needs to be paired up to the iPhone again.
This same problem is happening with another headset, an LG-HBM 570.
Talking hands free while driving is a pretty basic function for any phone. I like the iPhone 4 but if I can't fix this I will have to go back to my previous Droid X which didn't have this problem.
Apple Tech Support was totally clueless.
Any suggestions? Am I not pairing the headset properly?
