I agree with earlier posts by other IPF members, it is probably your USB Driver maybe it's not installed properly?

You mean every time I plug my iPhone in? No. I haven't seen that message in a long time, although every time I plug it in via USB I hear the double *bong* sound of the computer telling me that something was just plugged into it.

Just to clarify, it's bong bong and not bong bing, where the first is low pitched and the second is higher pitched.

The second bong is higher pitched, yes.

Hi Tricon,
I know you said you wanted to put this to rest, but one other thing...

Have you tried connecting a different device to see if your computer recognizes it? A camera, an ipod, external hard drive, flash drive??? Just curious if they connect without issue.

Also wonder if you've tried a registry cleaner?
