Even though performance tests have shown that the newest Apple iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus dominate most of their competition when it comes to performance, there are still folks out there who wish Apple had included more than 1GB of RAM on the device. It looks like these folks will get their wish, if this latest Apple rumor is accurate.
Supposedly, the next generation iPhone (either iPhone 6S or iPhone 7) will indeed include 2GB of RAM. This new RAM will also be using the more advanced LPDDR4 technology which will effectively double the available bandwidth for the memory.
There's no telling if this rumor is legit or just link-bait, but we will keep an eye out just in case its the former.
