Engadget has more leaked photos today of the N94 iPhone prototype, courtesy of uBreakiFix. Now the most recent reports surrounding the N94 prototype seem to be indicating that this could well be the cheaper iPhone 4S that has been much rumoured over the past few months. Basically, as Engadget points out, the new pictures, assuming that they are genuine, show that this version is almost identical to the current iPhone 4, with the only apparent difference being a dot next to the sensor above the earpiece, which could be some form of notification LED.
9to5 Mac, also commenting on the leaked N94 prototype pictures, says that these pictures would seem to lend authenticity to a new report on DigiTimes today which states that Apples next iPhone will have a very similar display to the current iPhone 4, and that talk of a much bigger display is simply not accurate. DigiTimes is currently still only referring to the iPhone 5 though, rather than two separate phones, one more upscale and one cheaper. Who is right? Well hopefully well get more concrete answers very soon, as this is all getting very confusing!
