Forbes reports on the leaking by reliable sources of what are said to be pictures of the forthcoming budget version of the iPhone 5, intended for launch in China. The pictures come courtesy of the very well connected Jeremy Horwitz and iLounge. In the description of the pictures, Horwitz says that the phone will be made substantially from plastic, and will not be just a Retina - and Lightning-equipped refresh of the iPhone 3G or 3GS, Apples last plastic iPhones. Horwitz says that the phone will in fact look more like a cross between the current iPhone 5, the fifth-gen iPod touch, and the iPod classic. He elaborates further on this, saying that the screen will be the same size as that of the iPhone 5 (4), the bottom will be similar to the fifth-gen iPod touch, and the phones shape will be most like that of the iPod classic. Also, as with the current iPod touch, the screen will be raised slightly from its housing. As Forbes notes, Horwitz is usually spot on with his predictions, and just this week was the first to mention the 128GB iPad before it was officially announced by Apple.
