New to iphone

Hi everyone, this week I received my first iphone from verizon and frankly, I am not sure where to start. I have always been an android fan boy and itunes and ios is very alien to me. Can anyone suggest some "must have" I phone apps? or any other info I should be aware of. Any suggestions are appreciated. thanks

Welcome. The first thing you should do is download and read the iPhone users manual form the Apple web site. Just Google it. Skim through the manual and get an idea of the iPhone's capabilities.

Worry about apps later. But if you're in a hurry, just Google "Best iPhone apps" or something like that!

Don't be afraid of iTunes. It can take a lot of getting used to. Just remember if iTunes removes anything from your phone it only takes a few clicks to get it back on. Everything gets backed up first automatically when you sync...

Love the username, since I was an avid Android user myself. Haven't totally given up on it, though. Gonna use my old, slowly dying Droid to do some development work. I wanna build my own Android 2.3 ROM *LOL*

I know what you mean. I still love android and will never completely give it up. I still have a Droid X in service and absolutely love that phone, but i really wanted to see what all the iphone hype was about and I must say its a great device and I am enjoying the experience.
