With months before the next gen iPhone launch, speculation is running rampant. Now, analyst Brian J. White from the Topeka Capital Markets is bringing some new insight into the development process of the phone. He got details he picked up from a supplier tour he made in China and Taiwan.
Apple is supposedly, working with sixth-generation iPhone prototypes with 1GB of RAM plus a modified A5X chip. They also want to focus upon appearance and it looks like Apple is preparing to redesign the whole package:
In our view, this will be the most significant iPhone upgrade with a four-inch screen and a new, sleek look that we believe will require a unibody case. This new, sleek look will be the most important reasons that consumers decide to upgrade.
For some, this news might seem familiar. Last year, before the iPhone 4S was released to the public, rumors skyrocketed announcing that the fifth generation iPhone will reinvent itself in terms of design. Everybody was in for a major disappointed though, as Apple finally released a way too familiar handset.
Mr. White made a few other predictions as well. He thinks the iPhone 5 release will be the most important event in the tech world which will push Apple stock closer toward the $1,001 Topeka price target.
