No ring when unknown caller rings

I have just bought iPhone 11 and when an unknown number rings there is no ring tone on my phone. I have tried sound haptics. Turned off unknown caller silent. Volume button is up on full. Can anyone help please?

Try going to Settings>Phone>Silence Unknown Callers and turn off the switch.

I have done that already and I had another call from an unknown caller and no ring. Thanks though

Have you by any chance got the Mute button (above the volume buttons) switched on?

No it’s off. Tesco chat couldn’t fix it so took it in store and it took them half an hour but hopefully it’s fixed now

After changing settings it sometimes is helpful to reboot the phone
