Now You Can Store Your iPhone in Your Bra!

A cool story on Forbes today about a new product called the JoeyBra that has been designed by two University of Washington students with pockets sized especially to carry an iPhone or other smartphone! The bra can be converted to be worn either strapless or racerback, and has pockets on either side where you can put your iPhone, your id, credit cards and so on. The two designers, Mariah Gentry and Kyle Bartlow, named the bra the JoeyBra after the baby kangaroo that lives in the mummy kangaroo’s pouch. The designers were inspired to create the JoeyBra when they noticed that lots of female students on the UW campus didn’t carry purses when they went to parties, so that many of them were losing their phones when they went out. Gentry and Bartlow entered the JoeyBra in the UW Business Plan Competition on April 25, and even showed the Forbes reporter how well it works, and how discreet it is.

Except women rarely wear pants or shirts with pockets large enough to carry a phone... Of course watching a woman dog into her bra for her phone when it rings is an interesting mental picture as well...

Gotta love inventors, whether they are successful or not.
