O symbol in place of E and 3G?

Sometimes I get o where E (edge) and 3G goes. What that means.

I'm fairly sure that means you're not on a data network. It's like being out of cell coverage, but for data.

Yeah ut means that u have no data covrage, not to confond with phone signal though.

it means there is no 3g where you are and it finds any network it can connect to edge or what ever

Interesting, because this happens exclusively in call and after I hang up it goes back to 3G or edge.

The oposite would be strange. Data package stop functioning while the phone function is activate. If you were using another phone like nokia, you would see the E sign with a sign like this / crossing the E sign, meaning that there is no E at the time you are in phone call. E= edge

'No service' means what it says. No service either call or data.

In the UK the blue dot is standard WAP data. Much slower than edge (E)...
