How much is "not too far" in km (roughly)? I'm just curious. Compared to Austria, Canada is a huge country, and I'd like to know if your "not too far" is about the same distance as ours.
Mammoths were found in Vienna too, when St. Stephen's Cathedral was built. That's about 90 km from here, and my "not too far away".
Probably a few dozen kilometres away. The most common remains found are the large grinding teeth and pieces of tusk. Most remains have been discovered in gravel pits during removal of the gravel for road construction, concrete use, etc.How much is "not too far" in km (roughly)? I'm just curious. Uncommon use for an old tractor
You've captured some excellent images on your evening walk. What's in the barrel on the back of the tractor? It looks like a couple of doors open up.

It looks like it was used as a bar. I didn't notice it before, so I don't know exactly what it's used for.
