Podcast aggregator

I'm new to the iPhone and on my Droid I had an app that would let me subscribe to podcasts and it would download them in the background. Then I could play them without worrying about connectivity. And syncing with iTunes is less than ideal. Anyone know of an app that would fill this gap?

Look for podcast apps in the app store. There some freeware, some shareware, most of the can sync with iTunes to.

Huzzah! Pocket casts just showed up in the app store. This is hands down the best no fuss podcast aggregator that doesn't require syncing with the computer or hand pick them thru iTunes.
