A great story here from TUAW, which writes about an Easter Egg that has been discovered by a developer called Ben Lenarts, in the design of Apples new Podcasts iOS app. Lenart noticed that when you play a podcast in the app, you do it on what resembles Dieter Rams classic TG 60 reel-to-reel tape recorder, which was popular in the 1960s. TUAW says that just as with Apple today, in his time, Rams was famed for his focus on product design. Apparently this is not the first time that Apple has sneaked in a little homage to Rams in one of its products, as TUAW writes that the iOS calculator app design was inspired by the Braun ET66, which was designed by Rams. It also looks a little like a face when you look at the Podcast player, or is it just me that thinks so?! This excellent app just gets better and better!
