[Problem] Unknown "Other" Space !

Hi,

iPhone 3GS 32GB

Situation:
Short Story Long, i had MxTube installed with 18 GB of videos. i used iFunbox to remove them, now in iTunes i still don't get the free space and it is still occupied under "Other" section. I did a backup and restored the backup again and i still have that space occupied.

Solutions i am trying to get the right tools for:
1. Editing the current backup on iTunes so i may find that space and deal with it.
2. Extracting/Copying Photos, Contacts, Notes and SMS and import them to a fresh restore.


any thoughts ?

You actually created the issue by using iFunbox. iFunbox didn't update the iOS disk usage. And in reality it can't because MxTube is the one that allocated the space. Your best bet would be to simply use iOS (touch, hold, wiggle, delete) to delete MxTube. This will allow iOS to delete MxTube and release the allocated data space that it has requested.
