problems with syncing bookmarks in icloud

I used to use mobileme and was able to sync my bookmarks across my mac my ipad and my iphone.....since i switched over to icloud i am able to sync calendar and contacts properly across my devices but for some reason the bookmarks do not seem to sync properly from the browser on my mac to my ipad and iphone....the sync does seem to work properly from changes made on the ipad to the iphone and vice versa though....am i missing something or do i need to make any special settings etc?i have the mac set to sync bookmarks in the icloud section under preferences right now .....thanks ahead of time
