I have yet to accurately type them and have had various conflicting information so can't say for sure. They return regularly

That's the normal level of the water in the lake. The water level is controlled by a dam and any extra water flows over the dam on its way downstream.

Another question:
The water level of Lake Neusiedl is the same, most of the time. Because of this fact, there's a reed belt around the lake, that covers an area larger than the lake itself. What about your lake? I remember a few of your photos, but I didn't see a lot of reed, if memory serves right.

The lower part of the lake has no reeds as they were cleaned out during a major deepening of the lake about 15 years ago. The upper part of the lake has lots of reeds and is a wildlife refuge.

I had a quick look at the photo in post 835 last night in bed on my iPhone 5, my eyes are not the best without glasses, and I thought the branch in the water could be an Alligator silly me
