Lol I have to say this sucks I'm in the same boat. Now I know why the guy sold me the phone so cheap but ios5 looks sweet so i'll wait it out.

At any rate I still have my droid x so if it bothers me that much I can just switch back but still wait.

So if I have have the iphone 4 with 4.2.10 and iphone 5 comes out, I can update to the 5, am I understanding this correct? thanks

You are talking of two different things. iOS5 is the operating system and all iPhones (3G and up) can upgrade to it this fall when it is released.

The iPhone 5 is to be released this fall as well but is a newer version phone.
