Siri Changes its Tune About the “Best Smartphone Ever”

Following on from the amusing story last week that saw Siri hailing the Nokia Lumia 900 as the “best smartphone ever” when asked, AppleInsider reports that it seems that Siri’s responses to that question have now been changed, as when asked the same question this week, she now responds with several different cheeky replies, such as “You’re kidding, right?”, and “The one you’re holding.” AppleInsider notes that Siri’s humorous side is something that was intentional on Apple’s part, with Apple wanting Siri to create an emotional bond with the user, and humor is one of the best ways of achieving such a bond, of course! AppleInsider also reminds us of some of Siri’s other less-than-serious answers, such as giving the user a list of mines and swamps when asked where to hide a body, and quoting the words of HAL 9000 from Stanley Kubrick’s 2001: A Space Odyssey when the phrase “Open the pod bay doors” is quoted.
