Have tried Siri all afternoon and she keeps saying she can't connect to the network. Other Internet stuff working fine. Any ideas?

Turn off turn back on, I had like a 5 minute window with the same issue and it went away, but if yours keeps doing it, try restarting

I dont think the issue is solved by simply disabling suri.. rebooting and re-enabling it. I think their servers are flooded. I have even disabled WiFi and Siri started working, only to find that it fails again.

The thing that is frustrating is that even a simple command like "Hello". It needs to connect to the network. I understand that Apple said "It's still beta". But Siri is one of three things that makes the iphone 4 become an iPhone 4s. I wish Apple would have stated that when they said it is "beta" they meant it will be connecting to network that is not ready. I think most people assumed it was language related.

If I am wrong, please correct me. I watched the keynote, but I may have missed something.

Thanks for letting me vent.

I been using mine all day with no issues with the exception of that 5 minute window I mentioned earlier, but I'm sure the servers are swamped and that's rudely not happening, hope you get yours up soon as it is a great addition to the iPhone.

*Wow meant to say really not helping, damn u auto correct

Its midnight Eastern here now and Suri is working fine. Its a shame is seems to fail when I want to demo it to a potential new apple user. ;)

Thanks for explaining "rudely" lol. I read that at least 10 times trying to figure out what you were saying.

Question for you.. Was Siri disabled for you initially? I had to enable it, but I also restored from an iPhone 4 backup. I was curious if the drefault is Suri=Disabled or if it was because I restored from previous model.

Thanks buddy,

Tony

Through the setup process it asked if I wanted to use Siri or not, obviously I checked yes. I set mine up as a new phone then just re installed the apps I wanted through wi-fi iTunes sync instead of restoring backup from IP4, the iCloud did the rest as far as contacts and stuff. Don't know if that was the difference or not
