Siri is limited outside of the US; Improvements are coming 2012. Right now, siri is pretty much at full functionality in America, even though it has been announced as beta.

"Siri, the intelligent voice recognition software in iOS 5, is the biggest feature of the new iPhone 4s, which launched today. However, it's slowly becoming apparent that users outside the US are finding limitations on what Siri will do. MacStories has done a good job of rounding up some of the limitations of Siri's advertised features outside of the US:

Business lookup (with Yelp integration) is not available outside the US.
Map directions and traffic data is not available outside the US.
Besides US, UK, and Australian accents, Siri may have some trouble with "very specific" English accents.
Wolfram Alpha integration is only available to English-speaking countries at the moment.
This is nowhere an exhaustive list as I'm sure we will see more reports of Siri's limitations flow in from other countries the 4s launched in today (the US, Canada, Japan, Australia, UK, France, and Germany). To be fair though, Apple has labeled Siri as "beta" software from the beginning and is sure to add features for other countries as time goes on. Matter of fact, Apple has already noted on Siri's FAQ that "Maps and local search support will be available in additional countries in 2012" and "In 2012, Siri will support additional languages, including Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Italian, and Spanish."" - TUAW

Shame we always have to wait for the full version though would be nice to get all the features when it's released!!

True, but it's the same with everything. Since apple is an American company, it's only normal for us to receive it first.

When the ps3 came out, it was in Japan first. why would Americans deserve to get it first, ya know?

Yeah, but the PS3 wasn't worth getting.

*Full disclosure* I own two with around 90 games and rarely turn them on.

True on my part. I bought it for one game. Played it, and don't use it anymore. Haha. With internal 320GB. Lame, right?

Nah. I got a 320GB and replaced the first one with a 500GB. Installed all the games on them to help speed up load times and it was still too slow for my taste compared to the XBox 360.

I pretty much only play Final Fantasy games on my ps3. Till the new FFXIII-2, come out, I have no reason to turn it on. LOL.

Wait.... Siri? LOL

Oh yeah! We were talking about Siri!

So I just asked it "Do you like the PS3?"
Response: "I'd rather not say".

Siri is soooo politically correct sometimes.

I'd actually wish to retract my last statement of:

Because this literally freaked me out:
