SMS/text messages Windows<->iPhone 4 overs USB?

Hello

Before asking, I searched the archives with "sms usb" but it couldn't search with those terms.

A friend has a Windows 7 laptop and an iPhone 4. I was wondering if an application were available that would let her send/receive text messages through the USB cable, so she can use her laptop at home instead of typing with the smaller keyboard on her smartphone.

IOW, I'm looking for the iPhone equivalent of MyPhoneExplorer.

iExplorer (iExplorer - iPhone, iPad Music & File Transfer App for Mac & PC) is the direct equivalent to MyPhoneExplorer.


There is no way to use a Windows, OSX or *nix based personal computer thru USB to control the SMS application. But I have good news. You can pair a bluetooth keyboard with an iPhone 4 running iOS 5 or greater. I have used my iMac keyboard to do this (http://store.apple.com/us/product/MC184LL/B/apple-wireless-keyboard-english?fnode=56) a lot.

Too bad. Her Windows laptop doesn't have bluetooth, so that won't work.I'll just tell her to move to Viber, which does have a Windows/Mac application in addition to the iPhone/Android applet.Thank you.
