+1... well said bab!We need iOS 5 on those devices to be able to enjoy the latests features provided by Apple. If you own the iPhone 4 and you are still on an older iOS version, you can avoid upgrading, it's not a MUST upgrade, but simply a CHOICE. However, when your iPhone 4 will come to have a major trouble and will require you to connect it to iTunes, then you will not have anyway to avoid the iOS upgrade to 5. But if you own the iPhone 4S then you already have iOS 5 in it, and it's a good iOS full of good features.
yeah that's what i mean+1... well said bab!
Just to clear up what I could see confusing in this "However, when your iPhone 4 will come to have a major trouble and will require you to connect it to iTunes, then you will not have anyway to avoid the iOS upgrade to 5."
This is only applicable if you're phone runninng iOS 4 crashes for some odd reason and needs to be restored via iTunes. If that's the case then your only option is to restore your phone w/ the latest version of iOS. bab2010 isn't saying that if you connect to iTunes you'll be forced to upgrade. It will ask you to though... just click "Not Now" or whatever it says. LOL!!
