Speakers available to plug directly into iPhone?

When I workout in my garage I listen to my iPhone, but the volume isnt' that great in a big room. Are there some kind of speakers out there that can plug directly into an iPhone 4 which can play the music louder? Or can the iPhone put out that much volume?

Look at any of the IHome docks....they have powered speakers And can charge phone at same time

There are a few as in direct phone to speaker, but generally they're dock speakers that you can position your device into. There're quite a few that are fairly small and space-savvy. This model of iHome that does the job just right. The sound quality isn't that bad from experience.
