Speakers not working durring calls?

I have a iPhone 4 running on 6.0.1 and the mic/loud/ear piece speaker work when using the voice recorder, but during a call you can't hear anything threw the speakers and the mic seems to stop working? I'v been hearing that it might be a software issue but I just restored the firmware. Please help. Thanks very much! Matt
