Sprint iphone 4s battery life

The battery life is horrible. I double click the home button and close all the apps. Wifi is only on when needed. Brightness isn't too high. What can I do to fix this?

go to location service and turn most of them off. Turn off "Ping" in restriction, turn off mail auto fetching.

I found that turning off the sending of diagnostics and usage data has helped. Doesn't affect any functions.
