AppleInsider reports today that T-Mobiles Chief Marketing Officer Mike Sievert has told AllThingsD that T-Mobile enjoyed a gangbusters first day of sales for the iPhone 5, adding, we experienced lines out the door this morning at nearly all of our almost 3,000 stores nationwide. T-Mobile in the US started selling the iPhone 5, iPhone 4S and iPhone 4 this past Friday, and AppleInsider says that Sieverts comments are supported by reports from many different T-Mobile stores around the country, where lines were seen to be forming of eager customers all wanting to get their hands on an iPhone. However, AllThingsD also said that some of the lines apparently thinned out towards midday. Aside from his general comments about the iPhones first day on T-Mobile, Sievert has yet to give an official estimate of sales figures for the day, and he has also not revealed whether or not T-Mobile sold out of its iPhone stock.
