Task killing app ?

Is it worth having an app to close down other apps running in the backgound ?

I assume multi tasking drains the battery a little so being able to close apps down fully would be a help.

Anyone know of any ?

There is an app for jailbroken phones that closes the inactive icons in the multitasking bar.
