Texts not going through

I have an Iphone 6s my son has and Iphone 5. He is not receiving any of my texts no matter whether I have iMessage turned on or not. I previously had an Android phone from which he was able to successfully receive texts that I sent to his iPhone. I don't have problems with Android users receiving my texts nor other iPhone users, only him. I'm quite sure he doesn't have me blocked, so that wouldn't be the reason.

Is it just your messages that he doesn't receive, or from others as well?

If it's just you, make sure he didn't block you by accident.

Otherwise check his network connections (cellular, Wi-Fi). Update his iPhone, in case it isn't - 9.3.5 is the latest software for his device.
Check for a carrier settings update: go to Settings - General - About. If there's an update, a popup will appear.

Also make sure his phone number is correct.
