1. pick up phone and wait for dial tone
2. press 1st number
3. press 2nd number
4. press 3rd number
5. press 4th number
6. press 5th number
7. press 6th number
9. press 7th number
Add 4 more steps to the beginning if it's out of your area code...
I find it's quick and easy to just tap the phone icon, scroll to the contact I want to call and select it.
