[FONT="]Following on from the success of its iPad app, TiVo has today launched an iPhone/iPod touch app, designed to work with TiVo HD and Series 3 DVRs. According to Cnet, its basically just a smaller version of the iPad app. If youre a Premiere TiVo customer, youll be able to enjoy all of the apps many functions, including a programme guide, the ability to schedule and manage recordings, and a content search across broadcast and broadband services. TiVo Series 3, HD, and HD XL DVR users can also access all of the above features, but they cant begin playback, view details about what theyre currently watching, or manage recordings. And even if you dont have TiVo, Cnet says that the iPhone version of the app introduces a new Guest mode, where you can browse the channel guides for the service provider in your local area, and maybe think about becoming a TiVo customer, or I'm sure that's what they're hoping for anyway by including such a feature!
