Perfectly normal. You’re asked for your password after resetting the iPhone or you’ve not used Touch ID for a while. It also happens if Touch ID has failed too many times in a row.Hi, I wonder if someone can help, every so often my iPhone asks me to enter my passcode to enable Touch ID. This can normally happen when Touch ID has already been enabled. Is this normal?
Hi, Thanks for your reply. I use Touch ID each time l access my iPhone and l I’ve not reset my phone either which is why I’m concerned it’s asking for my passcode. Are you able to clarify further? Thanks for your reply, however is it ever possible for someone to manipulate the passcode and Touch ID without having access to the phone? it might seem a bit far fetched but l was wondering if that’s a possibility? You have to enter the passcode after restarting the iPhone; when the passcode hasn’t been used the last 6 days and the device has not been unlocked for more than eight hours.
