Touch screen partially non functional

Hi all,

I have bought a new iphone 3gs (16 gb) from US. The problem in the phone is, the number/symbol (0, * and #) doesn’t work. Few applications do not respond. I think the touch screen is partially insensitive.

Friends please suggest the solution.
