A recently purchased iPhone 14 will replace an older Samsung running Android. Messages and contacts were successfully transferred (with a lot of help from tech advisors and forum posters). The printed instructions from Apple to transfer photos & videos says: "Connect your Android to your computer to find your photos & videos. On most devices you can find these files in DCIM > Camera". Not true on my PC running Windows. The Android device is recognized but no files appear (not even DCIM what ever that is). This is a rotten thing to do to a nice guy like me Does "computer" mean ONLY Macs ? What else could hide the photos that are still visible on the Android ?

DISREGARD THIS POST. The printed instructions apparently omitted one very important step - after cable connecting the PC to the Android IT MUST BE TURNED ON TO SEE ITS CONTENTS.
