Transferring Purchases When Backing Up

As the subject title states I've noticed that every time I conduct a backup from my 6 plus to my iMac from iTunes I receive this pop up message from iTunes telling me I have purchases that have not been stored in my iTunes library and would I like to transfer them. The catch is this pop message is occurring everytime I click on backup even after I've already accepted the request. Would I have apps on my phone that are just not syncing hence the re-occurring message? The only problem with that is I don't know what apps it is wanting to transfer/sync? This message is not occurring on my iPad or my wife's devices only my iPhone 6 plus.

Can anybody help with my above dilemma? Anybody?

This will also pop up if there are updated apps on your iPhone that haven't been updated in your iTunes library.

How do I find out what updated apps on my iPhone haven't been updated in my iTunes library?
I could sit there all day clicking on backup just to see the pop up message appear. It just doesn't seem to be transferring whatever purchases it is asking to transfer.

In iTunes, click on the menu item "File" (at the top left of iTunes) To open a sub-menu. Then, click on "Devices" and when that opens another sub-menu, click on the line "Transfer Purchases."

Hopefully, that'll get all your iTunes apps updated to reflect what's on the iPhone.

I backed up my 4S to iCloud before I switched over to the 6 Plus. Did you back up to iCloud or did you back up to iTunes? It's hindsight at this point but when I restored the new phone from iCloud, the new device had everything set up like on the 4S. Ringtones, wallpaper and even contact specific tones were restored. The only thing I had to use iTunes for was to restore my music.

Has this issue been resolved?

Issue un-resolved. I'm still being asked to ' Transfer Purchases when clicking on backup from iTunes'. I did try something by deleting two apps, Facebook & Facebook Messenger from my iTunes library but left them on the phone. I then clicked on ' Backup' from iTunes and received pop up message number 1 to backup apps, I then received the same message I'm having the issue with to ' Transfer Purchases'.....what purchases? Can someone please tell me why it does not tell me what purchases it is referring too?

Mickey330 I will try your resolve tomorrow, thanks for the tip.

Wilcard6 I'm using iTunes to perform manual backups to my iMac hence the repeating message to 'Transfer Purchases'

It would be great if I knew what they were? But it just doesn't tell you and keeps you guessing?

What the transfer purchases notice means is that iTunes has detected content on your iPhone that is not currently in the iTunes library stored on your computer. In the case of your test, it's the apps you deleted from your iTunes library but not from your phone.

Mickey330 I have tried your tip and even after transferring purchases of which nothing was transferred I tapped on backup within iTunes and again was asked to transfer purchases from my iPhone.

scifan57 I understand, but cannot understand why it keeps requesting to transfer purchases when their is nothing else to transfer. It's not requesting this action on my iPad when I have both devices plugged in. Maybe someone in Apple iTunes land will see my issue. Perhaps maybe I'll just have to live with it.

Sorry, but I've got nothing more. Plus, I don't have a Mac computer, so I don't think I can help there, either.

The only suggestion I have left is to ask the "Geniuses" at an Apple Store. Hopefully, they'll know what is going on.

Sorry I can't help.
