TechCrunch features a very unusual type of iPhone case today. The Gizmon iCA case, according to its makers, Gizmon, is made up of 32 different polycarbonate parts. The Gizmon has a conversion lens mount as well as other optional lenses, a working shutter button and optical viewfinder. Aside from looking cool, if retro cameras are your thing, the Gizmon also has a couple more practical uses as well. Firstly, if you like taking self-portraits, the mock-lens contains a mirror to enable you to pose and preen for your close up as much as you like, and secondly, the Gizmon also comes complete with a multi-use tripod stand. The case comes in white, black and light brown, and costs $65, and you can also buy a matching strap in black or brown for $30 each. Macro and Fisheye lens are available for $45 each. Not a budget item at those prices, but certainly a novel way of protecting your iPhone!
