Turning off multiple text notifications...and disabling the auto-rotate feature..HELP

I am having trouble turning off the feature that reminds me I have a text message...I can't find the "Play Tone Alert" option within the Messages menu...does anyone know how to update this?

(Since posting, I have solved the auto rotate issue I was having)..

all settings are within the settings icon... go to settings>sounds to adjust any sounds or alerts you want to change. you should be able to turn off reminder alerts within the settings icon

in ios5, go to settings>notifications>repeat alerts, and change this to never. otherwise it should be on once and this means it will send you one repeat alert for missed texts
