Unable to create Apple Account

Apple expects you to do it all on an iPhone. Even when I had a PC and bought my first iPhone (4), that is how they had me set things up. Afterwards I uploaded Itunes to my PC and also a download that made the two work together, I forget the name. But Apple has since separated Music, TV, devices to 3 separate apps so I am not sure how you get them to work with the iPhone but as I said, first things first, you start on the iPhone not the computer..

Thanx for the good advice. Despite my lack of Apple experience, somehow the iPhone is now up and running. I greatly appreciate all the tips received from forum mbrs - THANX !!

Glad to hear that. Hope you are able to enjoy your new phone and get the best benefits from it.
Beware-Apple is a slippery slope, I no longer even remember my way around a PC. Iphone led to iPad and suddenly I own a Mac🤣.

BEAR7962: Is all Apple equipment made in China by the CCP ?? IMHO you may have been "hacked" by Apple to cause those equipment upgrades :) A top-secret virus could have been installed on each Apple device that you purchased that locks you into Apple  If you ever decide to return to the PC & Windows some day, I will try to help answer your concerns since you resolved mine abt Apple gear.

I spent literally 5 days on the phone with the top level of Apple Support. I was amazed at how long they spent with me. I even had the separate Yahoo mail app downloaded and it worked as it should. In fact, Yahoo tells you that its app works better as a separate app from the native Apple one and that is the biggest indicator that Yahoo does not wish it to work as it did. Apple tech support and I have talked thru everything and the only 2 things occurring which I am unhappy with are the change Apple made to all Apple devices about Fetch account delivery (plugged in and on WiFi or timed) and the sound that is missing from my Yahoo mail notifications. As all (I now have 4 email accounts) function as always, and as I wish them to, minus the sound notification for Yahoo while using the native email application, I am reasonably sure this is not a case of my device being hacked. My issue is one that has been reported online as has a similar one with Gmail..I have been an iPhone user since at least 2010 and am not concerned that my device was hacked by CCP nor by Apple since the issue only occurs on the device I already just upgraded. Even Apple doesn’t think I will buy a new iPhone every month and the one I have is the 16 Pro so nothing to upgrade to until September. I appreciate the offer about Windows and PCs but I am never going back. Also, before retirement, , I was a computer crime investigator. I just no longer spend time on a Windows computer and don’t remember every driver I had to download to adapt it to my use. In addition, Apple has changed iTunes completely since the 15 yrs when I began my journey with them so I have no idea if what made my previous experience when using a PC work. I am completely in the garden now and its pretty seamless. Thank you for offer to help though.

BEAR: I was only joking but apparently not funny. Sorry 'bout that.

Bob

ps: I am a retired IBM Systems Engineer but have never heard of a "computer crime investigator". If you can discuss this matter, who did you work for ?
