Update after jailbreak

Hey I was wondering, can I do this update that pops up on my phone while being jailbroken with the jailbreakme.com jailbreak? My computer at this present time is a piece and can't sync my phone with iTunes. Was wondering is there was going to be problems if I updated my phone while on 4.2.8 with the jailbreakme.com jailbreak on my phone.

If it pops up on your phone its just a carrier update, not a software update, so ya go ahead and update your carrier settings, that wont affect your firmware or your jailbreak.
