Update my app

Am trying to update my app since longtime but am unable to!!
I receive a notification to put my password and i did but its not accepting!! It ask me to reset my pass. I did change it for two times but than i thought it might be from iTunes or software old-dated so i update them but still same prob.!!!
Does it require the payment details or its not important as these r all free app!!!

Yes...requires payment details from your debit/credit card.

You can create a new account without a credit card for free apps only with iTunes.

I would look that up. Dont remember how it's done.
