Updating app store app cause safe mode

Can anyone tell me why updating app store apps causes safe mode?
I have a iPhone 4S on 5.0.1.

I also have an issue with the home screen calendar icon not showing current day unless I reboot.
As well as going into safe mode when trying to rearrange icons in folders.
The main gripe I have is going into safe mode EVERY F'n time I update app store apps. I have to let them update then exit safe mode. This is annoying how do I stop it.

Never heard of that issue before, you'll have to just deal with it until they release a 5.1 jailbreak so you can do a fresh restore.

Do you have anything installed from Cydia that integrates w/ the AppStore?

Only thing I can think of is to disable one mobile substrate addon at a time, trying to update an app after each one, and see which one being disabled allows you to update your apps w/o going into safe mode.
