Using Facetime between Apple devices

My iPhone is a 4S so I used Absinthe via the latest Greenpois0n. Had Cydia running every time the jailbreak completed. So putting the phone in DFU mode was not needed.

Been reading instructions over and over since it was released. And I didn't say nobody should jailbreak because it didn't work for me, I said a don't recommend it.

As far as being a nood at jailbreaking I have been doing it since the first iPhone was release so this ain't my first rodeo.

THe jail break is just imperfect and needs re working.

Oh. My bad. Yeah....it's a new jailbreak for a new device. Latest version is 0.4 I believe. I don't have an A5 device, but I jailbroke 5 A5 devices.....2 iPad 2's and 3 4S's. One 4S gave me some problems.....but the 3rd time worked fine. But once Cydia was installed and opened everything worked fine.

Sorry if that last post was a little strong but I have been frustrated. I should work. Thats the real point. Your right it works much better on the A4 device.

It can be frustrating if something goes wrong, however it has worked for the some million people that downloaded it the first week it was out so I would keep trying if you want it. Have you tried doing it via the command prompt way?

I dunno - myself and the VAST majority of A5 users who have jailbroken are experiencing no problems what so ever.

I am in no way doubting that you had issues - and I won't even say that it was definitely user error (although you would have to be a fool to think user error was not even possible - it's always at least a possibility - for all of us).

I am saying that you are very much in the minority. Most A5 jailbreaks have gone off without a hitch, or at least only minor "hitches." I suppose it's possible that many people (A5 users) who have jailbroken and are having problems could simply be staying quiet... but it's unlikely, as historically the "upset customer" makes the noise and the satisfied customer is usually the quiet one.

Either way, I am very sorry it didn't work out for you - as you well know, a jailbroken iphone is very fun (when it works correctly). But hey, a stock iphone is pretty cool as well :)

Take care,
Rob
