AppleInsider reports that a video of a rear shell that is said to be from a 5.5-inch iPhone 6 has appeared online, via Nowhereelse.fr.
The shell is shown with a ruler adjacent to its edge, so that its measurements can clearly be seen (roughly between 150 and 160 millimeters).
It looks basically exactly like a bigger version of the 4.7-inch iPhone 6, and Nowhereelse.fr says that it may well be called the iPhone Air, as has been rumoured for several months.
While there’s no way of knowing for sure if the rear shell in the video is the real deal, the dimensions of the shell certainly back up many of the recent rumours about the 5.5-inch iPhone.
For example, in an earlier leak from Apple’s manufacturing partner Foxconn, photos of the 5.5-inch iPhone showed its dimensions as 158 millimeters on the Y axis, 78 millimeters on the X axis, and 7.1 millimeters on the Z axis.
